1. MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR QUALITY, FOOD SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT (ISO)

Dobrogea Group manufactures products according to an integrated Food Quality & Safety and Environment protection integrated management system, designed, implemented and developed to continuously improve product quality, safety and environmental protection, taking into account all partners requirements.
Compliance with referral documents has been certified since 2000 by Germanisher Lloyd Certification. In 2000 the quality management system was certified according to ISO: 9001; certificates renewed in 2003, 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2015.
The management system for environment was certified in 2005 (according to EN ISO 14001: 2004) and the certification of this system was renewed in 2008 and 2011. For food safety, The Group has implemented and certified HACCP principles in 2003 and since 2008 the food safety management system was certified in accordance with EN ISO 22000: 2005.
Currently, Dobrogea Group maintains and constantly improves an integrated system for – food safety and environment protection, certified by RINA Simtex in accordance with the requirements of international standards ISO 9001: 2008.

2. IFS – FOOD SAFETY – FROM PRODUCER TO RETAILERS

The standard in force is implemented and maintained to show the Group’s commitment to deliver products that meet the quality and safety requirements of food delivered.
The International Food Standard (IFS), was originally implemented in 2003 by Handelsverband des deutschen Einzelhandels (HDE, or the German retailers’ association) for domestic brands sold by retailers in Germany and France. The 6th Version of the standard is currently operational. It guarantees consistency for the quality level within production chains in the food industry.
By certifying according to IFS Food version 6: 2014 by RINA Simtex, The Group shows its its customers that the food it produces and delivers meets the provisions of the most rigorous legal standards for food safety and quality.

The IFS standard is a certificate accepted and confirmed by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and is one of the most important food safety standards for the quality of food products.

3. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CODE

The “Business Social Compliance Initiative” (BSCI) is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2002 by major corporations alongside the Association of Foreign Trade (FTA) in Brussels.
The BSCI establishes and continuously improves a socially responsible conduct in the global supply chains for European businesses.
From a content point of view, the Code of Conduct refers to abidance to laws, freedom of association and the right to collective negotiation, prohibition of discrimination; salaries, working hours, health and safety at work, prohibiting work of minors, prevention of forced labor and disciplinary measures, environmental and security interests, as well as the management system.
Since March 2016, Dobrogea Group implemented the social responsibility requirements in accordance with the BSCI Code of Conduct (Business Social Compliance Intiative), audited by TÜV SÜD Romania SRL.

Dobrogea Grup has invested in modernization over 52 million in the last 10 years for:

  • introducing the new technologies in milling, bakery, frozen and biscuits areas;
  • the development of the integrated IT system;

In the production section of the Company Dobrogea Biscuit S.R.L. the activity is carried out in compliance with all the legal norms in force regarding the protection of environmental factors. In this sense:

  • appropriate measures have been taken to permanently sanitize within the the interior of the unit and the surrounding areas;
  • domestic waste is stored in a covered space, specially arranged and taken over by the local sanitation service – a sufficient number of household waste storage bins has been provided;
  • Repairs and maintenance of refrigeration units are provided by specialized firms;
  • the provisions of GD 621/2005 with subsequent amendments and additions regarding the management of packaging and recyclable packaging waste resulted from the activity carried out (foil, plastic bags and shuttles, paper-cardboard) are respected;
  • the selective storage of all generated wastes in specially arranged areas and subsequently handed over for processing to specialized units authorized for environmental protection;
  • the public is informed about the consequences of activities and / or products on the environment.

MILLING:

The International Flour Museum in Wittenburg, Germany, is a journey over thousands of years into the development of flour and its significance. The museum has a unique collection with over 2700 flour sacks from 128 countries.
